Digital Connections Celebration Event

This Monday we had a lovely celebration event for the conclusion of our Digital Connections Project. Our amazing Volunteer Coordinator Jennifer had organised an event to celebrate all the work our dedicated volunteers carried out on our virtual and digital platforms. From arts and crafts to group debates to Desert Island discs, our online events really had a lot going on and Monday gave us the opportunity to experience them in person. 

The event began with all of us having a good catch up and chat while enjoying some tea, cake sandwiches and coffee! After we had all had a good gab and feast we then moved on to our volunteer led workshops. 

In total we have 7 volunteer-led workshop tables such as; A Mobile Photo Editing Table, IT help desk, Summer Art Table, Discussion and Debate Table, Photo Slide Table, Photo booth and a DJ Booth! All the workshop tables were led by our volunteers and our service users could go up and interact at the tables at their leisure. This was an amazing opportunity to come together and share different skills and knowledge we’ve seen over our online events and now having the opportunity to celebrate it all in person was truly a great experience.

Overall, the day was a complete triumph and it was so great to see our volunteers and service users coming together in person again to celebrate the time together online! It was the perfect start to the week and we want to thank everyone who was involved in running the event and coming along to celebrate the end of Digital Connections!
